Lieutenant Akash Yadav
Flight Lieutenant Akash Yadav was born on 2nd January 1986 in Kosli, Haryana. He was the son of an army veteran Sub Satbir Singh Yadav and Smt.Sunita Yadav. On the fateful day of 19th November 2010, Flight Lieutenant Akash Yadav was flying an “air-maintenance” sortie on Mi-17 around Tawang area. Eleven air force personnel and an army lieutenant colonel were killed when the air force helicopter crashed at Bomdir, about 7km from Tawang, near the China frontier.
